2024 Grant Program Information / Guidelines
The VHA is offering the First Time Homebuyer Grant Program (Grant Program) for interested Veterans who want to achieve the dream of home ownership. The primary objective is to provide financial aid to qualifying Veterans on a continuing basis, which will be available to apply by first time military, veteran homebuyers and their families. The Grant Program is available to those who have not owned a home in the last three years with additional assistance to those who meet specific income limits as published by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The Grant Program will provide closing cost assistance in the amount of up to five thousand U.S. dollars ($5,000.00). The maximum grant amount available will be determined as follows:

Lvl 2 | Level 1 + Moderate Income (120% AMI) | $2,500.00 |
Lvl 3 | Level 2 + Low Income (80% AMI) | $5,000.00 |

For some Veterans who are in level 3, please contact us about additional funding that can increase your grant past the maximum amount. Based on Federal funding allotments, you might qualify for more if there is a need or if we have additional funding available.
