Board of Directors

Michael Ochoa, M.B.A. is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Transcend Onsite Care. During his career, Mr. Ochoa worked for Thermo Fisher Scientific and Merck, before venturing out as an entrepreneur to co-found Advanced Therapeutics, a compounding and specialty pharmacy that focused on non-addictive pain management medication alternatives for patients.

In 2017, Mr. Ochoa and his co-founder, Dr. James Pinckney, partnered together to focus on the changing the landscape in healthcare towards more pricing transparency, to give employers and labor unions more control over the cost of care. Mr. Ochoa believes that the Transcend Model can change the way healthcare can be delivered by directing the medical care options directly to the employers work site or by building a near site medical clinic for multiple employers.

As the company’s Chief Executive, Mr. Ochoa is responsible for strategic decisions that include partnerships and business develop opportunities for the growing organization. His philosophy is to align with the right strategic partners and offer modular, turn-key healthcare solutions which can lead to better clinical and financial outcomes.

Mr. Ochoa received his B.A. in Administrative Studies and Sociology from the University of California, Riverside (UCR). He furthered his education at Pepperdine University where he earned a Master of Business Administration degree.

Board of Directors, Executive Committee

USMC (Ret.)

Ruben Hernandez is the President and founder of EGA Homes; a full service, certified Veteran-owned real estate company based out of Riverside, CA.

EGA Homes serves a Southern California / Inland Empire client with knowledge, integrity, and passion as a full-service Real Estate firm. EGA Homes aims to also give back to the brave men and women who fought for their country. In 2009, Ruben Hernandez started the Boots to Suits career development program for Veterans who are interested in a career in real estate.

“Creating a real estate company focused on assisting fellow Veterans has helped me connect the dots and carry out the Marine Corps motto, ‘Semper Fidelis,’ which stands for ‘always faithful,” Ruben says.

Ruben is also the founder of The Veterans Housing Alliance (VHA); a nonprofit organization with a mission to increase the percentage of Veteran home ownership among those who have served our country. They achieve this by giving financial aid to low income Veterans who dream to be homeowners.

The Marine Corps taught Ruben a range of life skills: problem-solving, leading in the trenches, sacrifice, courage and valor. After deployments stateside and to Panama, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Spain, Belgium and Japan, Hernandez left the service with several medals, ribbons and awards of distinction but, moreover, a mindset focused on continuing to help others.

When he’s not in the office, Ruben can be found enhancing and strengthening military and civilian strategic partnerships throughout Southern California and has taken a philanthropic approach to life. More broadly, he works to reduce the rate of Veteran suicides which currently stands at approximately 22 per day and joins burial details at Riverside National Cemetery, to ensure that Marines are properly interred.

While Veterans continue to comprise a large percentage of the overall homeless population, PTSD and suicide rates, EGA Homes and the VHA will continue to fight to do all it can to stop this epidemic.
